Einfachheit, Effizienz, kurze Wege, Prägnanz, Materialechtheit, Flächenschonung und Modularität sowie reduzierte Einfügung in die dörfliche Umgebung sind Begriffe, die in dieser Bauaufgabe für den Bauhof in Reifnitz / Gemeinde Maria Wörth integriert wurden.

Die einheitliche Einbettung in Hügel sowie Umgebung lässt den Bauhof in dezenter Rückhaltung nach außen erscheinen. Die begrünten Dächer und berankten Bauteile schaffen eine „Camouflage“ zu den sichtbaren Flächen, wodurch der Bauhof in den Hintergrund des Geschehens rückt.

Städtebaulich folgt der Bauhof der Höherentwicklung zum Hang, weshalb höhere Räumlichkeiten zum Hang angesiedelt werden, während niedere Bauteile die Frontfassade zur Eventwiese bilden. Diese abfallende Abstufung des Bauhofes bildet einen zusätzlichen sanften Übergang zur Umgebung.

Die Beziehung außen-innen wird bewusst durch eine Berankung und Holzfassade blockiert. In der Wahrnehmung wird ein natürlich begrünter Begrenzungszaun vermittelt, der wenig Aufschluss über sich dahinter befindliche Funktionen gibt.

Mit diesen Maßnahmen wird der Bauhof als harmonischer Teil des Dorfes wahrgenommen und von den visuellen, akustischen sowie geruchsbegleitenden Randerscheinungen eines Bauhofes abgeschirmt.

Aufgrund der kompakten Anordnung werden lediglich 26% des Grundstücks verbaut. Sämtliche nicht bebaute Flächen außerhalb des Bauhofs oder Wirtschaftshofbereichs werden als unversiegelte Flächen beibehalten.

Stellungnahme Jury: "Das Projekt überzeugt durch eine modulare und klare Baukörperstellung und weist eine gute Höhenstaffelung der vier Volumina auf. Das Projekt weist eine hohe Variabilität auf und ermöglicht Adaptierungen im Ablauf bzw. der funktionellen Zuordnung der jeweiligen Bereiche."

Simplicity, efficiency, short distances, conciseness, material authenticity, land conservation, and modularity, as well as a restrained integration into the village environment, are Concept pillars that were incorporated into this competition for the Municipal Maintenance Yard in Reifnitz / Municipality of Maria Wörth.

The uniform embedding into the hillside and surrounding landscape allows the facility to appear in a discreet manner. The green roofs and vegetated building components create a form of “camouflage” against the visible surfaces, causing the maintenance yard to recede into the background.

From an urban-planning perspective, the facility follows the upward development of the slope, with higher spaces positioned toward the hillside, while lower structures form the front façade facing the existing event space area. This descending terracing creates an additional gentle transition to the surrounding environment.

The relationship between outside and inside is intentionally obscured by greenery and a wooden façades. In perception, this conveys a naturally planted boundary that offers little insight into the functions behind it.

These measures allow the maintenance yard to be perceived as a harmonious part of the village, while shielding it from the visual, acoustic, and odor-related side effects typically associated with such facilities.

Due to the compact arrangement, only 26% of the property is built upon. All areas outside the maintenance or operations zone remain unsealed.

Jury Statement: “The project impresses with its modular and clear building configuration and demonstrates a well-resolved vertical articulation of the four volumes. The project offers a high degree of flexibility and allows for adaptations in workflow and functional allocation of the respective areas.”
