Multiple renovation interventions of the Italian Embassy in Vienna and the Italian Consulate

The Palazzo Metternich at Rennweg and the Gartenpalais Sternberg at Ungargasse are home to the Italian Embassy in Vienna and the Consulate. Two marvellous and historically crucial buildings for Austria and Europe.
The commission, to work on such buildings requires a lot of groundwork and communication loops with the Viennese/Austrian authorities. The interventions aim to be “silent”, to impact the existing structure as lightly as possible. Adaptable solutions, expandable interventions and minimal design lead our work in these two historical buildings.
